Global Language Spanish Teacher

The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a full time Global Language Spanish Teacher at the Middle School working with students in grades 6-8 for the 2018-2019 school year.  This position will  teach sections of exploratory Spanish aimed at exposing students to the Spanish language, as well Spanish classes aligned to the high school Spanish 1/Spanish 2 scope and sequence.

TOSA / Digital Learning Coach

The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a full time TOSA / Digital Learning Coach beginning July 1, 2018. The Digital Learning Coach will work to increase teacher competence and confidence in the delivery of curriculum that is rich in digital media and instructional technology. This specialist will work directly with staff to effectively use digital devices to access and interact with digital content to promote enhanced learning opportunities. The position will support the integration of the full-range of technology resources available to students and staff such as Chromebooks, GSuite for Edu, interactive whiteboards, computers, digital content, digital textbooks, podcasts, video, simulations, web resources, and other applications. The Digital Learning Coach needs to not only have a good understanding and familiarity with educational technology, and technology integration, but also show expertise in curriculum and assessment design and delivery. In addition, the coordinator will assist in the implementation of student standards in digital and media literacy, and supporting all teachers in acquiring the skills to communicate with students and parents effectively via digital resources. Note: The TOSA position will require a flexed calendar of 5-10 summer work days that will be flex off days during the school year. These days will mostly fall in mid-August.

Openings are available for the Graduate Teaching Fellow Program (classroom experience while working on a masters degree program in Education).  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Health Education.

Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2018, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.  Application deadline: until filled.

Teaching Fellow positions are available in the following Professional Development School (PDS) participating districts:

  • Health Education, Mankato Area Public Schools (most likely Prairie Winds Middle School)
