Computer Support Technology Instructor

The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) has an opening for a Computer Support Technology Instructor at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Willow River/Moose Lake. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide appropriate and effective classroom instruction in a group setting and in an individualized manner to offenders in the Computer Support Technology Program. Serve as career and technical advisor for students. Coordinate recordkeeping duties for the program. Maintain physical resources of the Computer Support Technology Program. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences and by reading professional literature in the Computer Support Technology field. This position is located at a Minnesota Correctional Facility and will have direct offender contact.

SNS Extended Meals Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Student Nutrition Job Summary: Coordinates the administration of RPS Student Nutrition Services extended meal programs including program development, financial oversight, staff supervision, community initiatives and public relations. Implements programs according to defined need, community support, market trends and available resources. Oversees the District’s Wellness Policy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads and coordinates a variety of extended meal programs including, but not limited to the Summer Food Program, After School Snacks and CACFP Supper Meal program. Performs required administrative functions assigned for SNS programs and oversees financial management, operational management, community involvement and public relations of SNS extended meal programs. Responsible for the implementation and oversight of the District’s Wellness Policy. Ensures compliance with each school site and coordinates the wellness committee meetings for the purpose of discussing the development, implementation and periodic review and update of the wellness policy. Assists with the development of SNS systems and procedures. Assures implementation of staff compliance with departmental procedures and USDA guidelines. Ensures proper record keeping is implemented. Supervises assigned program staff. Schedules and evaluates staff training needs. Implements and monitors HACCP food safety and sanitation practices. Evaluates and analyzes program and community concerns and recommends and implements solutions for changes and improvements for better quality programs. Participates on SNS leadership team. Promotes and markets RPS SNS extended meal programs under the guidance of the District’s Communication Department and helps develop promotional materials/e-marketing communications with community outreach initiatives. Designs and develops nutrition education projects with students, staff and local community and business organizations to help promote expanded student nutritional understanding. Performs other duties as assigned by the Coordinator /Asst. Coordinator of SNS.
