MSBA is located approximately 60 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 10 miles north of Mankato in the scenic Minnesota River Valley. This full-time, high level position is responsible for the overall accounting and financial reporting for the Association. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: *Coordinates, prepares, and presents the Association’s annual budget and financial projections; *Prepares and presents monthly financial statements, investment schedules, and budget comparison reports; *Coordinates and oversees annual audits; *Provides oversight of personnel, including prioritizing and assigning work and conducting performance evaluations; *Monitors, evaluates, and recommends internal control procedures; *Provides oversight and coordinates the following financial activities, including but not limited to: *Maintenance of membership and financial records for the Association dues and fees; *Daily accounting activities, including: maintenance of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, investments, and transfers; and *All aspects of Association payroll. *Reviews and analyzes newly proposed Association-sponsored programs/services for profitability, cost effectiveness, and budgetary impact; and *Provides member support, which includes conducting trainings in the area of school finance.
