English/Language Arts Teacher – High School

Roles and Responsibilities: The successful teacher will be committed to the equitable education of all students. He or she will have a strong background in instruction and assessment practices, and will focus on ensuring the learning and achievement of each student. This teacher must be able to differentiate effectively to meet the needs of students with a wide range of learning needs. He or she will also work to develop curriculum and establish and maintain a safe and professional teaching and learning environment. The successful teacher will also regularly collaborate with peers in leadership and learning communities within the school and district. PREFERENCES: Previous experience teaching Secondary English and Reading, preferably at the Senior High School level, is required. A strong knowledge base of assessment for learning, personalization/differentiation and intervention strategies are highly desired. Ability to teach high school standards in all areas of language arts is important. Additional courses and other certifications/licensure are helpful.

High School Math Teacher

DUTY DAYS: 185 START: August 29, 2016 HOURS: 1.0 FTE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will be responsible for all assigned middle school classroom duties and responsibilities, which will include: teaching all levels of math, the implementation of mathematics curriculum, communicating with parents, managing the classroom, and working collaboratively with colleagues while functioning as a member of a middle school staff and working towards school – wide goals.
