JOB DESCRIPTION ASSESSMENT oCoordinate all grade testing: NWEA, Children’s Progress, STEP, and any other assessments that may be implemented. oHave responsibility for providing guidance and support on all matters related to assessments. oProvide training to staff on all matters relating to assessments oEnsure that assessment procedures are clear to all staff. MEASUREMENT AND REPORTING oCoordinate testing: NWEA, Children’s Progress, ACCESS, MCA, etc. oUnderstand and ensure compliance with MN Department of Education guidelines concerning Q Comp, AYP, standards and testing oAssist with the completion of reports required by federal, state and local educational departments oAssist with the development and implementation of STA’s School Improvement Plan oAssists with professional Development and School Improvement oMaintain professional competence and continuous improvement through active participation in professional development activities. Student Support Services Coordinator
1. Assist the Director of Special Education and Director of Teaching & Learning in the overall administration of district student support programs and staff supervision. 3.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, including maintenance state and federal grant applications. 4.Coordinate, supervision, and oversight of programs and personnel within Student Support Services, including ELL, MTSS/RtI, Gifted and Talented, Health Services. 5.Prepare the necessary information for the completion of local, state, and federal reports as assigned. 6.Remain up to date with trends and developments in instruction, policy, and other legal educational issues. 7.Coordinate professional development within Student Support Services. 8.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of Special Education and Director of Teaching & Learning. Technology Assistant
Description: Technology Assistant at Sun Path and Pearson. 7.5 hrs/day, 193 days/year. Grade 5. $16.53/hr Job Summary: Provide support in the area of technology for staff and students so that the overall district educational objectives may be achieved. *Completes tasks and projects on site following protocols as assigned by the Supervisor of Support and Technology Support Manager. *Supports building-level technology through the district Help Desk service and responds to staff requests. *Maintains systems including the installation of equipment and hardware/software upgrades following established protocols. *Supports existing technology including computer workstations, mobile devices, video/audio equipment and other peripheral devices. *Communicates and collaborates with the Technology Support Team to problem solve hardware, software, and network issues. *Remains current in software and hardware trends. *Answer the Help Desk phone number and provides assistance when able or devotes resources to remedy the staff’s technology issues. *Provide training for students and staff on software applications used by students. *Assists with training on software applications utilized by staff in real time and through virtual or web-based training. *Assists in the development and upkeep of instructional manuals on hardware and software use. *Assists as needed in installing, building, upgrading, and maintaining assistive technology hardware and software for students and staff. e.g. Text to Speech *Preview individualized technology equipment, devices, computers, computer software, and other materials. *Aids in the implementation of new technology and information systems.

Description: Special Education Paraprofessional at Pearson 6th Grade Center. 6.5 hours/day on student days. Job Summary: Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Interim Superintendent
Lac qui Parle Valley School District #2853 is seeking a part time or full time interim superintendent to begin January 4, 2017 through June 30, 2017, specific days to be determined.
