The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a full time STEM Specialist beginning the 2016-2017 school year. The Richfield STEM School Specialist will work with K-5 regular education classrooms students to provide Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics instruction that extends the work of the regular classroom teacher. This may also include covering MN social studies standards. New teacher workshop begins 8/23/16. We are located in the heart of the Twin Cities Metropolitan area and serve a diverse student population in Richfield and the surrounding communities. Richfield Public Schools inspires, empowers each individual to learn, grow & excel. Job Responsibilities: 1. Follows the District’s job description for teacher. 2. Advanced training in STEM preferred 3. Excellent communication skills. 4. A proven track record in the use of a rich array of instructional methods, the analysis and use of data and technology to improve instruction, and the ability to build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan collaboratively. 5. Evidence of productive experience with problem-based learning. 6. Evidence of planning, organization, and time management skills that will bring structure and accountability to the position 7. Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning. 8. Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration. 9. Works directly with principal and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM initiatives and curriculum. 10. Helps organize, develop, and coordinate special STEM events/activities. 11. Coaches teachers on STEM initiatives and instructional best practices in the STEM areas. 12. Infant Teacher

Minnesota Valley Education District is seeking a licensed teacher to work in our birth to two early childhood home visit program. Essential functions of the position include conducting developmentally appropriate evaluations, IFSP development and intervention services in the home setting. An ability to communicate and collaborate with parents and families regarding the educational program of their child is a necessity. Services involve working with a team of related service professionals, other infant teachers and an IFSP facilitator to encourage learning and growth in accordance with each child’s strengths and needs.
