Elementary Teacher – Fourth Grade

Essential Functions: A full-time (1.0 FTE) Fourth Grade Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School. Performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching services within our elementary school, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience.  This position commences with the 2024-25 School Year on August 19, 2024.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

Major Responsibilities, Skills, Abilities:The Director of Technology, Safety & Security is a District level position that provides vision, oversight, and leadership for district information systems, services, data integration, and cyber security as well as the technical support teams located across the district to ensure support for the ever-changing technology needs of the district. This position designs, implements, and maintains hardware and software technologies that enable the district to accomplish its mission and support the department’s needs for information relative to their operations, strategic planning, promoting effective resource management, enhanced customer service and promoting internal and external communications. The Director of Technology Safety & Security is responsible for the development of integration strategies, cyber security, district network and hardware, and instructional technology initiatives in collaboration with other district departments and for communicating and implementing these initiatives with the instructional support team.  This position plays a critical role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, and physical infrastructure, ensuring data privacy and security.
Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in information systems or administration and/or equivalent experience
Five (5) years’ experience in similar position/essential duties of position

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in administration, business administration, or advanced degrees in school administration
Master’s degree preferred
Administrative license preferred
Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in similar position/essential duties of position or in a school/district leadership position

Major Responsibilities, Skills, Abilities: Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Teaching and Learning or designee, the Multi-Tiered System of Support Teaching Learning Leader will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing district multi-tiered systems of support, including the development of the following domains: social-emotional learning and relationships, positive school climate and behavioral supports, Family and Student Engagement, Tier II supports for students at all levels, Attendance and Intervention monitoring, restorative practices and academic supports. In collaboration, the Teaching and Learning Leader will offer support with I teams, dean meetings and professional development around these areas.

Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment: Compensation and benefits will be determined by the Contract Agreement negotiated by District 112 and the Association of Building Administrators. This position is not eligible for overtime or comp time.
