Technology Integration and Systems Coordinator
Bemidji Area Schools ISD#31 is seeking a Technology Integration & Systems Coordinator. This is a 12-month administrative/supervisory position.
The Technology Integration & Systems Coordinator has responsibility for providing instructional support integrating technology and online resources into classroom learning objectives; providing coordination of district technology hardware, software and end-user support; implementing the district communication strategy including management of the district website; online safety and security for the district, including but not limited to firewall, content filtering, cyber security training, threat detection/response; and supervise all technology support staff. The district is seeking candidates with the following:

Position Summary:
With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools’ vision, mission, and core values, the Assistant Superintendent serves an integral role in leading district-wide initiatives, overseeing building and department leadership and school improvement efforts, and ensuring student achievement gains.
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the delivery of innovative, equitable, inclusive, educational programming within a school climate that is welcoming to all students and conducive to learning.
Section II: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
• Under the guidance of the superintendent, provides instructional and operational leadership for principals, program supervisors, and teaching and learning. Guides and supports key building and district leaders to create innovative learning environments to achieve the district’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Builds instructional leadership through coaching in the areas of school and department improvement planning with a particular focus on instruction, data analysis, intervention, and developing capacity that results in improved student achievement.
• Supports principals and department leaders to assess the core competencies that teachers need to
implement curriculum, deliver instruction, and improve student outcomes.
• Oversees and supports the Edina Virtual Pathways (EVP) program.
• Creates, facilitates, and implements high level professional growth opportunities for building and department leaders.
School Community and Strategic Planning Leadership
• Serves as the Superintendent’s designee in school improvement planning, strategic initiatives, academic and student policy design and implementation, and school community relations.
• Conducts regular school visits to observe instruction, develop standards, establish priorities, and set goals for improving student achievement, teacher development, and school performance.
• Maintains clear, consistent communication channels with students, families, and school community stakeholders to receive input and feedback on the effectiveness of schools, resolve concerns, and support their needs.
• Oversees, interprets, develops, and informs district academic procedures and student policies.
• Creates a collaborative culture and establishes effective communication channels between the district office, schools, and community groups.
Operational Leadership
• Partners with the Director of Marketing and Communications to monitor student resident and open enrollment for expected and unexpected fluctuations. Collaborates with Superintendent regarding class sizes and classroom space opportunities and challenges.
• Works with the Directors of Human Resources and Finance and Operations regarding the district’s staffing plans for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Facilitates monthly operational meetings to provide information, obtain reactions, determine options, and reach group decisions among district and building leadership.
Culture, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership
• Ensures the consistent use of culturally competent school system practices at the building level to meet the needs of each and every student.
• Incorporates the Tools of Cultural Proficiency in decision-making at all levels of the school district.
• Supports the district’s equity and inclusion initiatives and operationalizes these initiatives consistently at and across all school buildings.
Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.
• Communicates the district’s vision, mission, core values and beliefs and provides professional expertise and assistance to individuals, other district staff, and the community concerning areas of expertise and knowledge.
• Attends training sessions, conferences, seminars, district, and departmental meetings. Keeps abreast of changing developments, trends, and technologies.

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the Director of Special Services is responsible for the administration and supervision of special education and health services in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines. Tasked with shaping a compelling vision aligned with the District’s strategic plan, they lead program development and service coordination to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of specialized services, addressing the diverse needs of all students.
