Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning. Position provides support to the Early Childhood & Family Education (EC&FE) Program Coordinator and staff and provides input on development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of the district-wide EC&FE programs. Must have extensive knowledge of child and family development and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Duties Include:
Assist with the overall leadership and development of program areas
Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising non-licensed staff
Support the ongoing community needs assessment work
Support the continued development and implementation of a marketing and outreach plan based on community needs
Assist with development, implementation, and reporting of various grants and initiatives
Manage data and communication with stakeholders
Monitor program revenues and expenses including tuition collection
Monitor enrollment data in order to inform future program needs
Assist with other Community Education program areas as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Education, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of relevant work experience in public school and/or community-based early childhood and family education programming preferred
3+ years of supervising Community Education programs and staff related to this position preferred
Desired:Teaching license in parent education and/or early childhood
Experience teaching in ECFE or comparable programs.
Experience with home visiting and PreK-3rd grade alignment
Experience with outreach and/or marketing programs
Experience working with highly diverse populations
Experience working with families of low socio-economic status
Salary: View salary grids on Pages 3 – 4, Section 1. of the Management Personnel I-M agreement
Work schedule: In order to best meet the needs of our customers and our staff team, core hours will be developed upon hire and may flex with supervisor approval. This is a salaried position to include summer hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours will occur
