Position Summary:
The High School Art Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners. Teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students. Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.
Qualifications:
-Valid MN Art Teaching license.
-Student-Centered mindset that models a commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels.
-Demonstrated use of research-based instructional & engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to integrate curriculum, creativity, and technology to design and facilitate a high quality learning experience.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and students to achieve student learning results.
-Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
