Edina Public Schools has a Digital and Media Specialist position available at Countryside Elementary beginning August 15, 2016. We are in the process of transforming education through the personalization of learning, creating flexible learning spaces, providing resources that allow our students to create products that demonstrate mastery of content (Maker Spaces) and ensuring access to a rich array of both print and digital resources. It is within this ‘Next Generation of Learning’ that the district is seeking a qualified candidate to provide building level support for the integration of technology and building media. The elementary Digital and Media Specialist provides leadership and guidance in delivery, promoting, supporting, and encouraging literacy, coordinating the integration of technology in instruction, providing digital citizenship resources, and assisting administrators, faculty, and students in the use of digital and print resources to enhance instruction and improve student achievement.
