Job Summary:   Under the direction of the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator, the Community Liaison enhances student learning by helping students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff to center racial equity and cultural relevancy into student engagement, parent engagement, community engagement, and staff development. Furthermore, to build and maintain supportive relationships that strengthen student and family connections to school and support the elimination of racial disparities, racial isolation, and to achieve equitable student achievement.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Providing an ongoing marketing and promotion plan and public information program aimed at continuously informing internal and external stakeholders about Family and Community Engagement programs and services.
Managing and compiling data regarding Family and Community Engagement outreach activities; developing recommendations for program goals and improvement; assisting in preparation of periodic reports.
Scheduling, planning and conducting meetings with stakeholders for the purpose of coordinating program activities and initiatives.
Identifying and interfacing with local community resources and agencies that work closely with bipoc communities.
Building connections with the diverse communities and assisting families with participation in Family and Community Engagement programs.
Developing relationships between the School District, Family and Community Engagement department, and community resources.
Planning, developing and implementing informational literature, brochures, television, radio, and website information to develop family and community awareness about Family and Community Engagement initiatives.
Maintaining a planned and systematic program of communications and accountability aimed at continuously informing external and internal stakeholders of Family and Community Engagement plans and activities.
Working cooperatively with and collaborating with various community and school agencies, parental and neighborhood groups in the development of Family and Community Engagement outreach initiatives.
Maintain liaison with district, state, and community committees and representatives in the development and implementation of Family and Community Engagement outreach projects and initiatives.
Assist site administrators in providing a climate that supports and welcomes students and families to the School District and helps to raise the awareness level of the district as a whole and Family and Community Engagement services.
Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Include:Bachelor’s degree or 2 year college and 3-5 years related experience.

This position will help review and prepare curriculum and staff development sessions to build staff capacity around the implementation of Indigenous Education For All.  Indigenous Education For All (IEFA) is teaching and learning about Minnesota’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary contributions of the Anishinaabe and Dakota people. The required academic standards include the contributions of Minnesota’s Tribal Nations and Urban Indigenous Communities. This is intended for all students in Minnesota, as well as their teachers and school administrators to better understand their Indigenous peers. Successful implementation of the required academic standards includes access to and availability of curricular resources specific to the cultural heritage and contemporary contributions of American Indians, with an emphasis on Minnesota’s Tribal nations. The development of curricular resources, and professional development will be provided so that educators have access to knowledge and training in preparation to effectively and respectfully educate students on the rich history of Minnesota’s Tribal Nations and Urban Indigenous Communities. Curricular resources will include, but will not be limited to, American Indian experiences in Minnesota, including Tribal histories, Indigenous languages, sovereignty issues, cultures, treaty rights, governments, socioeconomic experiences, contemporary issues and current events.

Description:   A Student Management Specialist uses restorative practices to build and maintain relationships between students, teachers, and parents. They help students to grow and to improve behavior while creating individual interventions for students. They also plan for and maintain school-wide systems, structures, and discipline. They are ambassadors for our community and believe passionately in the potential of our students.

Job Summary:

Assists principal in the overall administration of the middle school program;
Performs as a resource for teachers and staff who express concerns for student attendance, student development and/or discipline;
Coordinates efforts with guidance, police liaison officer(s), school psychologist, and/or social worker in meeting with students and parents to discuss improving student attendance and/or behavior;
Consults with families via conference or communication systems concerning student attendance and behavior;
Resolves student behavior concerns in a fair and timely manner and maintains records of disciplinary or referral actions taken;
Closely monitors the physical plant of the schools and grounds and follows-up on student vandalism;
Assists in the interpretation of school district programs relating to student substance abuse and truancy;
Makes recommendations for appropriate revisions of policies and rules effecting student behavior;
Assists in discussing strategies to improve student performance, attendance and development;
Assists in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control and security;
Maintains active relationships with parents, families and students;
Assists in establishing rules governing students sent to the in-school suspension/detention room;

Serves as a member of such committees and attends such meetings as directed by the principal;
Assumes responsibility when all administrators are out of the building;
Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities within the overall scope of the position which the principal may assign.

This position will be a part of the Instructional and Informational Technology Team (I2T2) which provides technical support to approximately 21,000 students and  3,000 staff members across 31 site locations. This includes the management of approximately 9,000 classroom/staff computers and 21,000 student mobile devices. With support from technical support specialists, repair technicians, network administrators and school staff, this position works to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with technology services.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

 

Provide first-level installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on all computing devices  and peripheral classroom hardware and equipment, including network connections
Provide first-level technical support using procedures and tools established by District-Level Technical Support;
Document daily activities in the work order system and escalate to second level as needed;
Provide training and instruction in the use of classroom, mobile, and instructional technologies;
Provide inventory of hardware and software as requested; and,
Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Communicates effectively and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency to troubleshoot hardware, software and explain current technology to end-users
Ability to use a variety of operating systems, including Windows, ChromeOS, and iOS.

TSS 3- Cyber Security Analyst

General Purpose of Job:

The TSS 3 Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for the technical implementation and management of the school district’s cybersecurity initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect the district’s digital infrastructure. The analyst will work closely with the Director of Information Systems & Security to ensure the highest level of security and compliance with relevant policy and regulations.

Description:
The TSS 3 – Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the digital infrastructure of the school district. Reporting to the Director of Information Systems & Security, this position is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining cybersecurity tools and protocols that align with district policies and regulatory standards such as FERPA, CIPA, and GDPR. The analyst collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure system integrity, respond to security incidents, and proactively address vulnerabilities through audits and assessments.

This role demands a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic educational environment. The position emphasizes continuous learning, professional growth, and a commitment to fostering a secure and supportive digital learning environment for all students and staff.
