Duties/Responsibilities:

-Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows and mirrors, and sanitizing bathrooms and break areas

-Trash removal: Emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins

-Maintenance: Performing minor repairs on fixtures, furniture, and equipment, and maintaining cleaning equipment

-Stocking: Keeping an inventory of cleaning products and repair tools

-Safety: Following safety rules and precautions, and training staff on how to use custodial equipment and supplies

-Collaboration: Working with Director of Facilities and Security along with other repair people and cleaning services

TEACHING AND LEARNING SPECIALIST – SPECIAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM SUPPORT
Full Time – 2024-25 school year

Duties:  Develop and present various professional development sessions; work with teachers to develop curriculum documents; support teachers in the implementation of curriculum; and conduct student observations when a more restrictive setting is being considered.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires ASD, DD, MSI, MMI, or ABS License.  Work in collaboration with others and function in team settings.
(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Preferred Qualifications:  Expertise in academic curriculum and social emotional learning.  Experience supporting setting III or IV programs preferred.  Expertise in behavioral supports, behavior management, and social skill development and curriculum preferred.

Start Date:  ASAP.  This position may be filled immediately by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.
Duty year = 187 days plus up to 20 additional days.  Flexible scheduling of assigned duty days over 11-month calendar, August 1 thru June 30.

Primary Function (Purpose of Position):  A DeLaSalle High School Physical Science and AP Environmental Science Teacher has a strong background in science education, a deep understanding of high school curriculum standards, and the ability to engage and inspire high school students in the exciting world of science. The physical science teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and challenging learning environment, fostering critical thinking skills, and cultivating a love for science among high school students.

Representative Responsibilities:

1.      Curriculum Development:

  • Design and implement effective, engaging, and standards-based science curriculum for high school students.
  • Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

2.      Classroom Instruction:

  • Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in science.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and inquiry.
  • Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying academic abilities, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.

3.      Lab Supervision:

  • Oversee and facilitate hands-on laboratory activities, ensuring a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Demonstrate and promote proper laboratory techniques and safety procedures.

4.      Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Create and administer assessments to measure student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
    Use data-driven insights to adjust teaching methods as needed.

5.      Technology Integration:

  • Incorporate technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Utilize multimedia tools, educational software, and other technology platforms to enrich the science instruction.

6.      Classroom Management:

  • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conductive atmosphere for learning.
