A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as a SEL Interventionist is available at Futures for the 2025-26 school year.

Description: 
As an SEL interventionist, you will support the development and implementation of a solid SEL program and assist teachers in providing Tier II and Tier III interventions for students who need more intensive levels of support for SEL. This goal will be accomplished by working alongside school staff and serving as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate social-emotional learning (SEL) support for students, as well as SEL professional development for staff working directly with students on your caseload.
  • Provide individual and group counseling/skill development in the five CASEL areas of SEL.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff.
  • Develop SEL support as it aligns to a student’s IEP.
  • Participate in joint planning and case management with community agencies that support students’ SEL abilities.
  • Conduct staff education on SEL.
  • Make home visits as necessary.
  • Maintain professional practice and development, staying current with recent approaches to improving SEL for students, staff, and families.
  • Gather and track data on student progress.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance, in performing all assigned responsibilities in an efficient and correct manner.

 

Requirements:

  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain either a valid school psychologist, school counselor, school social worker, or special education teaching license.
  • Must be able to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control, and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
  • Ability to develop and compile a variety of records and reports
  • Experience with spreadsheets and assessing data, student data systems.

 

Qualifications:
MN licensure in School Social Worker, School Psychologist, School Counselor or Special Education

Salary Range:
$49,591 – $88,577 (based on the MTA salary schedule).

Coordinator of Early Childhood and Family Education Programs – Washington Learning Center

Under the direction of the Community Education Director, the Coordinator of Early Childhood and Family Education Programs is responsible for planning, overseeing, and supervising the operations and staff engaged in the delivery and implementation of early learning programs, school readiness, and early childhood screening programs.  Duties involve overseeing and supervising licensed and paraprofessional staff; recommending and administering program budgets; evaluating early childhood programming; and working with the public and community in promoting the program awareness and services of early childhood and family education

Plans and conducts early childhood screening activities. Collaborates with other educational professionals and administrators, addressing the needs of students, new instructional technologies or approaches to best meet students with multiple needs.   Participates in various meetings for the purposes of addressing student goals, needs, and meets the required laws and policies. Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.

Long Term Substitute Special Education Assessment Coordinator – Jefferson Elementary School
