SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – KINDERGARTEN & PRESCHOOL – 1.0 FTE
Location:
Washington Learning Center, New Ulm, MN
Description/Requirements:
The teacher will work with students ranging in age from 3-6. This position will also include managing a caseload.
A current MN Special Education Teacher License is required with a desired emphasis in ECSE, EBD, and ASD.
Desired Skills:
1. Experience with behavior intervention and management strategies.
2. Experience with social skills instruction and interventions.
3. Experience with play-based learning.
4. Knowledgeable in multi-tiered systems of support.
5. Ability to organize and carry out individualized programs for children.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a team to collect and analyze data.
7. Ability to communicate with parents and colleagues.
8. Ability to train and guide paraprofessionals.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administering and overseeing Nutrition Services operations and staff. Plans and provides nourishing and appealing meals for students and staff, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations while evaluating program participation, meal acceptability and financial operations in an effort to meet the program goals of being a self-supporting operation. Serves on the district’s wellness committee.
