Grants and Assessment Coordinator (TOSA)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in budgeting, resource management, grant writing, and grant management
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, interpersonal, public speaking, conflict resolution, and presentations
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis
  • Knowledge of programmatic improvement processes including research, development, and evaluation

Responsibilities

  • Oversees district accountability and works to maintain integrity in our data and our decisions to promote data-informed and results-driven practices, striving toward maximum achievement for all students through a continuous improvement approach.
  • Serve as the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC); oversee the organization and administration of state and local assessments as outlined in the MDE Procedures Manual for MN Assessments
  • Collaborates with the Minnesota Department of Education related to assessment and accountability, including ensuring compliance with state and federal legislative mandates regarding testing and connected topics
  • Collaborate with MTSS Coordinator and Executive Director of Academics & Accountability regarding improving student achievement through gathering, analyzing and interpreting perception, performance, program and demographic data.
  • Creating and presenting customized reports on state tests, program effectiveness, educational goals, and indicators of success related to the district’s mission and strategic plan
  • Coordinate and write grants for the district
  • Coordinate the implementation and evaluation of the District’s Achievement and Integration Plan
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports for state and federal programs, including, but not limited to, Achievement and Integration for Minnesota, Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS), Title I, and various grant reporting requirements
  • Leading collaborative work to develop, monitor and implement the Title I plan, including leadership and support of the budget and programming
  • Support the District’s American Indian Education Program; attending and assisting with meetings of the American Indian Parent Advisory Council, supporting grant applications and data collection
    Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned on an as-needed basis.

REACH Teacher

Position Summary:

  • The REACH Program is a voluntary, in-school program designed to assist students who may need support academically, socially and/or emotionally. The goal of the program is to help at-risk students experience success by learning new life skills to overcome barriers and challenges present in their lives. The REACH Program not only supports these students academically through differentiated instruction, but also helps the students to build skills necessary to reach high school graduation and become successful adults after graduation. Students in this program work closely with the team of Administration, Social Worker, Counselors and students’ families.

Physical Therapist

Position Summary:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Special Services, the Physical Therapist provides services to children with special needs, ages birth to 21, in order for them to benefit from their program of special education instruction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct and indirect physical therapy services as specified in each students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) plan.
  • Consults with teachers, school administrators, parents and others as appropriate, regarding students’ gross motor development.
  • Assesses the gross motor skills including the environmental accessibility of students referred for a special education evaluation.  Helps determine the need for environmental adaptations and physical therapy.
  • Assesses and makes environmental and other adaptations to allow students to access and benefit from their program of specialized instruction.
  • Provides training to special education paraprofessionals, and others as appropriate, in carrying out day-to-day activities designed to enhance the motor functioning of students.
  • Maintains accurate record of therapy sessions, consultations and other pertinent activities.
  • Supports parents of children with disabilities in understanding the role of physical therapy services in schools and how to access school or community resources.
  • Adapts, modifies or recommends specialized equipment to facilitate student performance.
  • Supports classroom personnel to effectively use classroom based technology and assistive technologies to facilitate student success.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited school with a current physical therapy license from the Minnesota State Board of Physical Therapy is required.
