Early Childhood Teacher Long Term Substitute

Job Description:  A 1.0 FTE Long-term Substitute Early Childhood teacher position for Roosevelt Early Learning Center. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with classroom paraprofessionals to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. This position commences on February 2nd to March 19th, 2026.

Faribault Early Childhood is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

 

Qualifications: Early Childhood Education License required; ability to work with young children in a team setting required 2+ years experience preferred; experience working with a diverse population and special needs helpful. Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. In connection with the handling of children for the facilitation programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Title:    Licensed Practical Nurse – Health Office Float  1.0 FTE

Summary of Position(s): 
These Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as the subject matter expert in general health related areas in the educational school setting.  LPN’s working for Faribault Public Schools provide care to students with health needs, refer students to outside providers and assist with screenings and prevention of communicable diseases. The positions commence immediately upon hire. LPN’s are employed full-time for 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week between late August and early June; serving multiple health offices within Faribault Public Schools. Additional summer opportunities are available. This position commences immediately upon hire.

Qualifications:
Nurse/LPN positions will provide on-site hands on management of routine and emergency health concerns as they arise at multiple health offices District Wide according to district policy and guidelines and state law.  Daily distribution of student’s medications, maintenance of student health records and to provide on-going communication with parents, teachers, specialists, principals, and the health service coordinator.  Ability to collect and report data as directed by the case manager.  Must be well-organized and willing to work as a team; and be comfortable with using the computer.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
