Job Summary:

Long-term substitute position for 8th grade English starting March 25th. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

Transportation Driver (Special Education)

Worthington Public Schools Special Programs office is seeking to hire daily route van drivers and riders to transport students.  Applicants must hold a valid drivers license and pass a background check in order to be considered for employment. Routes are approximately 30 hours per week.

Paraprofessional, Class II

Job Summary:

Under the direction of licensed special education teacher and/or related services staff, the Special Education Paraprofessional assists one or more students in accomplishing activities of daily living; instrumental activities of daily living, health related functions; redirection and intervention of behavior; and other tasks as are identified within assigned students’ IEPs. Special Education Paraprofessionals may be assigned to work with students who have special healthcare/medical needs, have behavior intervention plans or require other forms of specialized care.  Assists teachers by working with individual students or small groups, and performing related work as assigned.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Teacher and the general direction of the building Principal.

Job Qualification:

Must have a High School Diploma/GED and or College Degree. Or must be able to pass the ParaEducator Assessment upon hire.

Paraprofessional, Class I

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the teacher and/or the building principal and guidance of the classroom teacher, performs a variety of duties involved in the educational support of students.  The Educational Paraprofessional monitors students, supports in behavior and discipline needs, and works with students to reinforce material that are introduced by the teacher.
