Middle School Math Teacher – Pipestone Area Middle School

JOB DESCRIPTION
Pipestone Area School District #2689 is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher starting in August 2025. Teachers at Pipestone Area Schools are assigned specific duties within their teaching content area. In general, this teaching position includes teaching appropriate standards-based content, contributing to a team-based approach, and participating in staff professional development sessions and other meetings. Pedagogically, best practices are encouraged and innovation expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:Hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills
Knowledgeable computer user; familiarity with Student Information Systems
Solid classroom management skills based on current research practices
Willingness to be involved in other aspects of the Pipestone Area Schools culture and community
Team Player and team-oriented thinker

RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver high quality standards-based lessons to students.
Collaborate with colleagues to carry out Multi-tiered System of Supports.
Maintain accurate records of students’ grades and attendance.
Participate in mentoring and instructional coaching programs, align and deepen curriculum, and improve pedagogy.
Practice and carry out rules and procedures as defined by the Pipestone Area School District.
Participate in staff in-service, staff meetings, department work, committee work, parent conference nights, etc.
Support the Principal with supervision of students.
Communicate in a positive way to develop rapport with learners and treat them with respect.
Demonstrate a commitment to the school’s mission of Inspire life-long learners. Build Character, and Prepare them for their Future.

SUPERVISION:
Teachers report to the building principal.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Opportunities for extra-curricular activities may be available and posted on the District website.

COMPENSATION:Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement. Salary range is $47,000- $80,000 and benefits include health/health saving account contribution, life insurance, Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) leave days and 403B match. Voluntary benefits offered at employees cost are dental, vision, supplemental life, Long-term disability, legal shield, and AFLAC.

Elementary Multi-Language Learner (MLL)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipestone Area Elementary is seeking a dedicated and dynamic MLL Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support for Multi-Language Learner (MLL) students. The MLL Teacher will play a key role in curriculum development, instructional support, and student assessment to enhance engagement and achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Holds or is eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching license with appropriate endorsement in English as a Second Language.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in computer usage; familiarity with Student Information Systems is a plus.
Solid classroom management skills based on current research-based practices.
Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and student-centered instructional strategies.
Willingness to engage in Pipestone Area Schools’ culture and community.
A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high-quality instruction tailored to the needs of MLL students.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the effectiveness of the MLL program.
Develop and implement MLL curriculum, interventions, and lesson plans using best practices.
Support students in improving their motivation, attendance, and participation in school activities.
Work closely with general education teachers to ensure classroom environments and instruction support MLL students.
Partner with the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) to schedule and administer WIDA tests and provide accommodations for MLL students in school-wide assessments.
Maintain confidential records on MLL students and ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as district policies.
Document student progress and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
Communicate positively with students, developing rapport and fostering a respectful learning environment.

ELL Elementary Teacher (2025 – 2026 School Year)

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a counseling-related field.
Holds or is eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
Expertise in counseling methodologies and educational best practices.
Strong data analysis and student progress monitoring skills.
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding student counseling services.
High-level organizational and communication skills.
Ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Class II Secretary
