Position Overview
Heartland Colony Elementary is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-centered educator to join our team as a full-time K–8 Teacher. We are looking for a passionate professional who believes in high expectations, meaningful relationships, and engaging instruction that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of every student.

Qualifications
Valid Minnesota teaching license with appropriate endorsement.
Experience teaching in an elementary or middle school setting preferred.
Strong classroom management skills grounded in best practices.
Deep understanding of child development and standards-based instruction.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Commitment to fostering belonging and positive school culture.
Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to teamwork and professional growth.
Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Learning
Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging, and differentiated instruction aligned to Minnesota State Standards.
Utilize innovative, research-based instructional strategies to support all learners.
Develop and implement standards-based lessons across grade levels (K–8 as assigned).
Assess student progress using formative and summative data to guide instruction.
Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance engagement.
Support academic growth, character development, and student ownership of learning.

Classroom Environment & Culture
Establish and maintain clear expectations, routines, and procedures.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Promote strong social-emotional skills and positive peer relationships.
Build meaningful relationships with students and families.
Create a classroom culture rooted in high expectations and belonging.

Collaboration & Professional Engagement
Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and strengthen instructional practices.
Engage in ongoing professional development aligned to district initiatives.
Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, committee meetings, and school events.
Contribute positively to school culture and community partnerships.

Administrative & School Support
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Implement district policies, initiatives, and the school’s mission and vision.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs.
Support the principal with student supervision and additional duties as assigned.
Participate in school improvement efforts and continuous growth initiatives.
Supervision
Reports directly to the Building Principal.

Compensation & Benefits
Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement.

Salary Range: $51,000 – $80,000 (based on education and experience)
