Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: leveraging all four components of Innovative and Personalized Learning – Learner Maps, Learner Profiles, Competency Based and flexible use of time, space and resources
leverage student strengths to enhance student growth areas
assessing students through a combination of assessment of learning, for learning, and as learning
providing guided instruction and specific interventions to accelerate students who are identified as at-risk
co-teaching with classroom teachers and working with small groups of students will be necessary for student success

Behavior Paraprofessional – #4856 Spring Lake Park

A Behavior Paraprofessional at Westwood Schools, helping to support Behavior Specialist teachers and students in grades 5-8 to create and carry out behavior plans for both Special Education and non-Special Education students.

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

under the supervision of a Behavior Specialist, implementing behaviors plans customized and personalized for students to reinforce preferred behavior;
performing general data collection tasks for the purpose of progress monitoring student success;
having the ability and passion to work with students with emotional/behavior issues is essential;
working comfortably with students in individual, small group, and large group environments, in both general and special education settings;
working effectively with an interdisciplinary team, while having the ability to work independently;
working with school staff to provide behavior support to students in collaboration with teachers; and
participating in, and providing information for, team meetings related to student success and next actions.

Position Description

Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton Public School District is seeking an Interim Superintendent for the 2021-22 school year.  Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate their ability to secure licensure by September 1, 2021. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not required.

Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton Public Schools Office is located in Janesville, Minnesota. The school district serves approximately 710 students from Pre-K through grade 12. All students are served at the Janesville site located at 110 East 3rd Street in Janesville, MN.

Consideration will be given to one year, full time or part-time interim candidates.

Job Requirements

  1. The ability to help the school board plan strategically
  2. Provide solid day to day management of resources and personnel
  3. Strong communication skills
  4. Understanding of school finance
  5. Active community involvement
