Job Description:  A full-time (1.0 FTE) Developmental/Adapted, Physical Education Teacher at Faribault Public Schools.  This position commences with the 2026-27 school year on approximately August 24, 2026.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one Pre-K and Kindergarten, two elementary schools 1-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary and middle school aged students. D/APE experience preferred. Knowledge of due process procedures and ability to work with a team.  Ability to consult with general physical education teachers.  Ability to design individual programming and accommodations for students with disabilities.  Ability to work with a team; training or willingness to be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); and excellent oral and written communication skills.  All candidates will be considered

Area Learning Center Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a licensed teaching position that works directly with students who are eligible for receiving their education in an alternative setting.  This teacher is responsible for the planning, assessment, instruction, and differentiating of curriculum for Math, Science, Social Studies, and English.  Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is a must, as is the ability to be flexible with students and staff to create a student-centered alternative classroom.  Collaboration is key when working with parents, colleagues, and administrators.  This position will commence with the 2026-2027 school year.

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position available for a Student Support Services Supervisor beginning July 1, 2026.  This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Summary of Duties:  
The Setting IV Supervisor supports the Student Support Services Department by assisting with the oversight and coordination of Setting IV special education programming. This role helps ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations while supporting staff and programs serving students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. The Setting Four Supervisor will assist the Student Support Services Department in a variety of tasks that support the daily functioning of the department such as, but not limited to, ESY, PLCs, due process, assessments, curriculum, serving as district representative at IEP meetings, and mentoring/coaching.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support oversight and implementation of Setting IV special education services and programming.
  • Serve as the district representative at IEP meetings.
  • Assist with special education compliance, including due process procedures and documentation.
  • Support coordination of Extended School Year (ESY) services.
  • Lead and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) related to setting IV special education programming.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to special education staff.
  • Collaborate with staff on curriculum implementation and instructional supports for students receiving Setting IV services.
  • Work collaboratively with building administrators, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Assist with program development, problem-solving, and improvement of district Setting IV special education services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.

Qualifications Required: 

  • Director of Special Education, K–12 Principal License, or currently enrolled in a program working toward licensure.
  • Experience working with students in Setting III or Setting IV programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and due process procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Director of Human Resources

  • Serves as lead negotiator for all labor contracts and employment agreements on behalf of the superintendent and school board. Seeks input, prepares strategy, negotiates, and administers the provisions of the collective bargaining agreements and any memoranda of understanding. Ensures that contract provisions align with the strategic priorities of the District and federal and state laws.
  • Serves as Human Rights Officer and Title IX Coordinator and ensures timely and appropriate handling and investigation of all discrimination and harassment complaints. Ensures that all roles in the Title IX process are filled on an ongoing basis and that the leaders in those roles receive training as needed.
  • Supervises the administration of employee benefits including medical, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance; workers’ compensation; and unemployment compensation programs.
  • Collaborates with other directors and team members to implement and/or maintain excellent services and programs.
  • Designs, communicates, and implements monitoring systems for human resources related activities including pay for performance, highly qualified status, pay equity, employee dependability, job evaluation, and unrequested leaves of absence (ULAs) and layoffs.
