Owatonna Middle School has implemented a program designed to support students within the school with academic, social/emotional and personal supports. The social worker provides ongoing guidance and daily tools for students to help within our systems of intervention and teach needed tools for success leading to college and career readiness.

Position Purpose:
This position provides direct instructional services to elementary and middle school students who are not meeting grade level proficiency in English by using prescribed interventions. Evaluates, instruct and improve English proficiency. Support and work closely with teachers in providing educational and resources support for students.

Middle School Principal
The Mahtomedi School District hosts a 3,200-student population and is located in the northeast metropolitan area; which comprises an E-2 Elementary, 3-5 Elementary, Middle School grades 6-8, High School grades 9-12 along with a Transition program for students aged 18-21.
The Middle School serves approximately 850 students and 75 staff. This position collaborates with a team of six other principals and an administrative leadership team in the District.
Elementary Teacher Grades 3-5 (School Year 2021-2022)
Qualifications:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Candidate will have a solid background in equity, believing and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Experience in balanced literacy, co-teaching, and utilizing an integrated approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEAM is beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
