Position Dates: Approximatley 3/8/2019 – 6 Weeks
Days/Hours: 7:00am – 3:15pm; Student Contact Days; Position will also include riding the bus with student
Banded/Graded: B-3-1
Rate of Pay: $28.09/hr
Responsible To: Building Principal/Supervisor of Health Services
Position Purpose: To enhance the educational process by minimizing or removing health-related barriers to learning, while promoting a safe environment for all students and staff. Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional nurse practice, district/state board of education policies and procedures and Minnesota State law regarding nurse practice.
Qualifications/Licensure: Registered Nurse with CPR/AED certification.
Major Job Function/Specific Tasks/Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: See attached. As well as facilitate the implementation of the district wellness program: gathering data, researching best practice, developing challenges, maintaining the wellness website.
Benefits of Employment as of July 1, 2019: Eligible for benefits as negotiated with District 112 and Registered Nurse. This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.

Math Specialist
Math Specialist Long-term Substitute Teacher with possibility of conitnuing in the Fall of 2020.
Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America. Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating the Christian faith and learning.
Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Math Specialist from January 6 – June 2, 2020 with possibility of continuing the next fall. This position is 80% of full time, Monday – Thursday, and serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Math Specialist will:
Work with individual students needing additional support and enrichment in math.
Serve on Lower School Student Support Team, using data to inform intervention and programming decisions, and host data and information sessions for classroom teachers.
Partner with classroom teachers to support math growth within the classroom.
Partner with families to communicate about resources and strategies to use at home.
Qualifications include:
¨ Previous teaching experience; experience in Singapore math strongly preferred
¨ Demonstrated ability to engage learners in small groups and to quickly build rapport and trust
¨ Demonstrated ability to assess student progress and differentiate instruction accordingly
¨ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
¨ Minnesota teaching license or commensurate license from another state; Reading license preferred
¨ Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life
