Field Service Support Technician

Job Summary:
Provide on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of multiple technologies installed in schools, including but not limited to:  digital projectors, interactive whiteboards, intercom and paging systems, classroom, gym, theater, and athletic field sound systems, security cameras, uninterruptable power supplies, network terminations, and various portable classroom technologies. Assist with hardware deployments and installation of various technologies throughout the District.

Essential job functions include the following:
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and/or repair various classroom technologies including Smartboards, digital projectors, voice-lift and local sound systems, presentation devices, and other multimedia and computer interactive classroom technologies.

Program building-wide intercom, paging, and bell systems, and assist with troubleshooting and repair of these systems

Assist with troubleshooting and repair of various sound and multi-media systems in auditoriums, gyms, on athletic fields, and other venues.

Troubleshoot and repair, upgrade, or expand security camera systems District-wide.

Assist with equipment deployments, inventory, equipment prep and computer imaging, and other general support of District technology initiatives and projects.

Install, maintain, and repair various power back-up devices (UPS) for District technology systems.

Assist with purchase and implementation of various contractor and/or District staff technology installations. Research new technologies for specs, suitability, and purchase as directed or assigned. Research contractors or vendors as related.

Troubleshoot and repair network cabling and termination issues.

Approximately twice per month run the technical production of evening School Board meetings, or other communications functions as assigned.

Middle School Sixth Grade Teacher: Science and Language Arts

Position Summary:
Provide classroom instruction to students in 6th grade with an emphasis in Language Arts and Science. All 6th grade teachers have one block (daily) of English/Language Arts and an every other day block of Transitions, a course that has a variety of instructional areas including keyboarding, passion project, Junior Achievement, etc. This position will also teach three sections of 6th grade Science.

Requirements:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Experience in utilizing an inquiry approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEM. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
