DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS:
Ensures accounting integrity in the food service fund. Responsible for providing accurate data to the food service director, which facilitates compliance to state and federal guidelines. Responsible for support to the cashiers regarding a technology-based accountability system. Assists the director in other areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares required federal and state periodic reports including the federal free and reduced price meal program.
Maintains and updates the account coding system to meet UFARS requirements.
Monitors monthly cash receipts records received from the cashiers. Reconciles bank deposits and follow-up with all deposit discrepancies. Responsible for non-sufficient fund collections.
Implements procedures to ensure proper utilization of computerized meal accountability program. Trouble shoots and resolves computer hardware and software problems.
Trains staff to ensure compliance with state and federal program guidelines.
Manages the end of fiscal year procedures for archiving accounts.
Monitors and updates districtwide produce pricing and food use transfers. Issues billing statements for catered events.
