Position Overview
The successful candidate will be an individual who:
has a strong desire to work with intermediate level school students
be familiar with assessment for learning practices as well as how to provide appropriate interventions for students
strong knowledge and skills in working with learning a second language using TPRS
has the ability to collaborate with their colleagues to discuss instruction and assessment to meet the needs of the students
possess a sense of responsibility for the learning of all of the students
has experience with technology strongly desired.

teaching students in the area of world language Spanish including speaking, listening, writing, and vocabulary
assessing student learning and developing responses to learning
reporting and communicating to parents and families on an ongoing basis
engaging in professional development.

Candidate must be a strong team player with an enthusiasm for teaching High School aged students. Successful candidate will have a good understanding of Professional Learning Communities, an understanding of interdisciplinary planning and teaching, and a knowledge of how technology can enhance instruction. A strong interest and desire to work with students of various cultural and ethnic backgrounds and academic ability levels is desired.

1. Uphold the Mission and Vision of Arcadia Charter School.
2. Support students receiving special education services in a least restrictive environment.
4. Implement daily work assignments from licensed special education staff.
5. Be a positive role model for learning, social interactions and emotional regulation.
6. Assist in maintaining school facilities and equipment.
7. Maintain confidentiality.
8. Follow schedule set by licensed special education staff.
9. Report for supervisory duties as assigned by school director.
10. Report observations regarding student changes to special education team members.
11. Implement accommodations and modifications as specified on students’ IEPs.
12. Act as a liaison between general education and special education staff regarding student progress/needs.
· Current Minnesota teaching license in math
· Demonstrated experience teaching grades 6-8 math; Multiple endorsements a plus
· Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with progressive, experiential learning
· Demonstrated preparation, skill and commitment to providing for the individual learning needs of all students
· Ability to create positive, inclusive learning environments for all students
· Experience working collaboratively with other disciplines
· Ability to organize and plan for student learning
· Familiarity with current teaching/learning theories
· Skill in establishing and maintaining positive relationships
