Primary Responsibilities:

Candidate will work in partnership to build a strong and well rounded physical education program at Woodcrest Spanish Immersion Elementary.
Candidate must be able to develop and promote identified physical education skills and healthy life-long exercise habits.  The candidate will instruct and assess students, plan and participate in program development, and evaluation, monitor and report students’ academic progress.

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Staff circulation desk, assisting with check-out and check in for students and staff.
– Manage library volunteers.
– Assist in the development and maintenance of the library collection, including the purchase, cataloging, processing and inventory of materials. Prepare and distribute overdue notices: prepare bills and collect monies for lost books.
– Assist staff and students with technology curriculum and troubleshooting.
– Assist with student online testing processes, including prep, proctoring, and submitting data

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and current Minnesota State Licensure in Elementary Education.  Additional demonstrated qualifications include:  commitment to the equitable education of all students; creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with elementary level students using differentiation, guided reading, and technology skills preferred.   Prefer candidate with experience working with diverse learners.
