Essential Job Functions
License / Education Requirements: Valid Minnesota K-12 Principal or Elementary Principal license required. 3+ years Elementary administrative and 5 years teaching experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate for the Interim Elementary Principal position will provide leadership and build systems to support staff, schools, and the district in increasing appropriate instructional capacity that allows all students to meet or exceed expected growth each year, graduate from high school, and eliminate predictability in achievement through practices of educational equity. This position will: lead the building’s efforts in creating a culturally competent and racially inclusive learning environment so that all students are successful; lead the design and implementation of the district’s instructional delivery and professional development in alignment with the district’s operational plan and individual school improvement plans; lead the design and implementation of the district’s instructional methodology and professional development programs aligned with the district operational plan; actively support district planning and improvement processes.

Early Childhood Family Education Teacher
.6 FTE Early Childhood Family Education Teacher – District Wide. Classes typically take place three days per week and include Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The selected candidate will:
-Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans, instructional materials and classroom environments based on approved curriculum.
-Provides and leads large group, small group and individualized instruction.
-Assesses learners’ growth and development through regular data collection; prepares progress reports.
-Collaborates in identifying pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals as needed.
-Communicates regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
-Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
-Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
-Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
-Integration of technology into instruction.
-Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
-Plan and coordinate the work of paraprofessionals and volunteers in the classroom and on field trips.
-Work within an Early Learning Services Team to build student skills in such a way that promotes high level outcome for all students.

-Work with ECFE Coordinator to develop classes, brochures, website updates, etc
Adult Basic Education Program Teacher
Job Duties:
1. Teach classes as assigned by the ABE Program Coordinator
2. Develop engaging curricula in accordance with program standards and instructional practices relevant to adult learners
3. Document and evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessment such as TABE or CASAS
4. Adapt teaching style to engage and retain students
5. Facilitate and integrate technology into instruction
6. Monitor attendance and student progress using the MN ABE online database
