Job summary: Direct and redirect students in a confident manner; possess strong clerical skills, be comfortable greeting visitors and answering phones.  In addition, candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to work as part of a team, and be flexible with their daily assignments.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Greet visitors, answer questions/concerns pertaining to the administrative function of the school; receive incoming calls from students, parents, etc.
Sign in students arriving to school late and signing in vistors and guests.
Answering and transferring phone calls;
Operating Black & White and Color copiers / printers; Producing jobs, using various copies.
Provide support to OAPs and Administration within the offices including filing, data entry and records organization.
Locate students, write passes and assign student helper to deliver in the event of a problem, concern or emergency.
Receive and authorize prearranged absence forms per school policy; record information and maintain school attendance records.
Creating and maintaining relevant data. This may include but is not limited to attendance, student fees, lunch and bus numbers, and student schedules.
Supervise in the lunch room and hallway to create a safe and respectful environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Participation in district training program prior to and during employment.
Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to type, maintain records and file.  Computer experience necessary.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

The Human Resources Clerical ESP provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department to ensure the efficient operation of HR services in the district. This position is responsible for processing employee records, supporting hiring and onboarding functions, maintaining confidential files, and serving as a point of contact for internal and external HR-related inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide general clerical support to the HR department, including front desk support, answering phones, writing and responding to emails, data entry, filing, copying, and document preparation.
Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including background checks, and collecting documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files in compliance with district policies, and state and federal regulations.
Enter and update employee data in the district’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other relevant databases.
Respond to routine inquiries from staff and the public regarding HR policies, procedures, and job openings.
Track, process, and monitor employee credentials, workers’ compensation documents, and required training documentation.
Process employment verifications, staff changes, and other HR-related forms with accuracy and confidentiality.
Support annual processes such as benefits enrollment, employee evaluations, and contract renewals.
Support recruitment activities by posting job vacancies, organizing application materials, and scheduling as requested.
Assist with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and presentations as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department and district operations.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn HRIS and other software systems.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population.
Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with multiple competing priorities.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in business or office administration preferred.
Two years of clerical, administrative, or office experience, preferably in a school district or public-sector HR environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a K–12 public school district.
Familiarity with state licensure systems (e.g., MDE in Minnesota or relevant agency).
Knowledge of employment law and HR practices in an educational setting.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Salary: Classification 1, $20.40-$23.87
Work schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week)

Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute. Additional benefits available may include Health and Life insurance, 403(b) match, and more.
