Job Functions
Supervise students on the playground, gym, and classroom through observation and monitoring, and by keeping close physical proximity with the students.
Communicate with students and adults in a positive and supportive manner.
Help to create and maintain positive, safe environments in the gym, lunchroom, classroom and on the playground.
Manage student conflicts.
Intervene in inappropriate behavior and record major behavior issues on the office referral form.
Ensure students line up and move about the lunchroom and hallways in an orderly and safe manner.
Clean and sanitize tables between lunch periods.
Inform maintenance of any spills that need to be taken care of in the lunchroom.
Be a positive example by modeling respectful behavior and using problem solving strategies.
Adhere to district policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Work in cooperation with the Secondary Building Principal to provide assistance in the operation and functions of the school. Work directly with all staff, students, parents and district personnel; oversee and participate in the daily operations of the main office; work with students including managing student discipline and behaviors; work to meet district and building goals and initiative related to student achievement.

Assistant Executive Director
Description: Cedar Riverside Community School is currently seeking an Assistant Executive Director who will work under the Executive Director to advance the mission of the school and provide the administrative leadership necessary to ensure academic excellence, solid connections with families, strong community partnerships and a healthy school climate for students and staff. The Assistant Executive Director will assist the Executive Director with:
· Providing administrative oversight of all academic and before/after school and summer programs
· Connecting and communicating effectively with families
· Facilitating a positive environment of accountability and teamwork
· Promoting CRCS to attract students and highly qualified staff on an on-going basis
· Developing and maintaining strong connections with community partners
· Day to day operations, student behavior management and staff supervision
About the School: Cedar Riverside Community School is a PreK-8 charter school located in the diverse Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis. It was established as one of the first charter schools in Minnesota in 1993 with the goal of meeting the unique needs of the youth in the neighborhood.
