SPECIAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR

This is a full time, 12 month position.  The Special Education Coordinator is responsible for recommending and monitoring special education programs and services in conformance with District policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws; provides written support and/or conveys information for special education staff and programs; serves as a resource person for parents/guardians and school personnel;  supervises and evaluates assigned staff and programs; maintains adequate staffing to ensure program objectives and services are achieved within budgetary limits.

This position begins no later than July 1, 2019.

Salary:  $23.21/hour
Responsible to:  Athletic Director

Position Summary:  Provide leadership in the overall operation of the Chanhassen HS Boys’ Soccer program
Salary:  Based on CEA Master Agreement

Licensure Needed:  Minnesota Head Coaching Certification/Licensure
Qualifications/Duties:

Coaching experience required
Good communication skills; respect/recognition of youth needs, interest and accomplishment
Soccer knowledge/experience
Development of a comprehensive soccer program including by working in coordination with the AD in the following areas:Parental Organization/Organization of Parent Pre-Season meeting
Working with Youth Organizations
Equipment/Uniforms
Budget
Transportation
Fundraising
End of Season Banquet
Daily Practice Schedule
Game Scheduling
Monitor Student-athletes Academic Progress
Public Relations
Staffing of Lower Level and Assistant Coaches
Attendance at Conference and Section Coaches Meetings
Preparation and Promotion of Athletes for a Post High School Experience
