This Special Teacher position provides literacy, English Language Learning, secondary credential, post-secondary preparation, and/or other adult basic education (ABE) instruction in a well-managed and comprehensive instructional environment to support offender Personal Education Plans.

This position is located in a correctional facility and has direct contact with offenders.

School Principal

The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking a licensed school principal for the high school at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Red Wing. The position will be responsible for the following:

  • Supervise and coordinate all academic, career technical, higher education, and life skills education programs.
  • Establish a school-wide vision of commitment to high standards and the success of all students.
  • Coordinate the provision of student counseling and intervention services to promote students’ academic, career and social/emotional development.
  • Exercise supervisory authority to administer personnel practices, directives, and instructions in the management of human resources.
  • Provide effective leadership and management of education programs, use technology to deliver a wider variety of curriculum to a wider base of students, provide the necessary behavioral and social support services that address the individual needs of all students, and ensure incarcerated youth are provided with access to the same educational and career technical services that are available in the community.
  • Efficiently develop, manage, allocate, and monitor budget processes.

Associate Director of Management Services – MSBA

MSBA is located approximately 60 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 10 miles north of Mankato in the scenic Minnesota River Valley.

DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist with and support services and programs in the areas of collective bargaining, human resources management, and school district/employee relations.
  • Assist with updating and/or creating written materials and other resources and tools for members related to collective bargaining, human resources management, and school district/employee relations.
  • Present at conferences, seminars, regional workshops, and in-district workshops.
  • Provide assistance to members in the areas of collective bargaining, human resources management, and school district/employee relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
