Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
– Develops lesson plans and instructional materials which are developmentally appropriate and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the District approved curriculum to the needs of each student.
– Evaluates students academic and social-emotional growth, keeps appropriate records in a timely fashion and prepares progress reports.
Collaborates in identifying student needs and makes appropriate referrals as needed. Collaborates with the ECSE team with implementing individualized education plans as needed in the classroom.
– Maintains a professional day, as defined by building/and contract. • Communicates regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
– Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
– Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
– Integration of technology into instruction.

Community Education Director
POSITION: Full-time, year round Community Education Director.
