Summary of Duties: The certified media specialist implements a series of decisions based on the numerous principles of learning which when practiced should increase the probability that learning will take place. The media specialist develops and conducts classroom instruction, evaluates and assesses instructional materials and student progress. The media specialist may develop and supervise co-curricular activities.

A Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Orchestra teacher(.6 at Faribault Elementary Schools and .4 at Faribault Middle School). Responsibilities include middle school orchestra, lessons, and sections of orchestra at the three Faribault elementary schools and the middle school. The qualified candidate should have experience starting beginning orchestra students, demonstrated success working with elementary and middle school aged students, proficiency on string instruments, maintains instrument inventory, and communicates well with students, parents, teachers, and administration.
