Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in social work, psychology, or related field, or equivalent and considerable experience working with at-risk students, families, and other agencies
Successful background check required.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.

Skills Needed:
Previous experience with intermediate students preferred.

Job Summary:

Performs professional work in individual, small group, or classroom settings to guide, assess, mentor, and counsel students. Educate and provide emotional support, personal counseling, career and college readiness, and other services to meet the unique needs of students. Collaborate with staff and parents to make recommendations for student success.

7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.

School Counselor

The counselor works with a broad continuum of students to help develop social, emotional, and educational plans that best meet individual learner needs.  The counselor supports students through individual guidance and counseling, consults with parents and staff, and serves as member of committees within the school community.

Social Studies Teachers

The Social Studies teachers will create a classroom environment which fosters learning and personal growth; to motivate pupils to develop skills,attitudes and knowledge needed to provide an excellent education, in accordance with each pupil’s ability; to establish effective rapport with pupils, parents; and to work collaboratively with other staff members.
