Health Educational Assistant / Special Educational Assistant (2706)

Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) is an early childhoodprogram providing education to many students from birth to age 5. There are two distinct roles for this position that are described below; health educational assistant (HEA) and special educational assistant (EA). Health services at LLC are necessary for students that are sick or have daily medication/medical procedures. Under the direction of a district Licensed School Nurse, this person will work to meet the health needs of all students that are a part of our programming at LLC. Due to the small size of the program and minimal use of the health office, this person will also work as a special education assistant. When not needed in the health office, this person will be supporting special education students in their classrooms. The ideal candidate will seamlessly flex from the role of health educational assistant to special education assistant up to several times per school day. Over the course of a week, it can be expected that when totaled, two working days will be spent in the health office and three days will be spend as a special education assistant. In addition to the duties described above, this person will assist with early childhood screening. Children ages 3-5 are screened throughout the year to determine their overall health and development. Screening related job requirements include vision and hearing screening, followup contact with parents, rescreenings, and data entry into the student information system.Many early childhood screenings take place during regular working hours. Some evening hours will be required at various times throughout the year. Additionally, there are some summer hours required. Responsibilities Overview,Health Educational Assistant: Under general supervision from a Licensed School Nurse, oversee workflow of day-to-day duties in the school health office including serving as the primary point of contact for students needing health assistance. Use basic First Aid and CPR when necessary to respond to medical emergencies. Communicate frequently with parents regarding student illness and injury. Participate in early childhood screening. Complete student specific paperwork to be reviewed by the licensed school nurse. Responsibilities Overview,Special Educational Assistant: School is challenging for all students. Many students in our schools face additional challenges due to some type of disability, which may be physical, cognitive, emotional or behavioral. Educational Assistants implement instructional strategies under the direction and supervision of licensed teachers. The primary role of the Educational Assistant is to provide support for a student or group of students in a variety of classroom settings throughout their school day. At LLC, all special education students receive education within the classroom setting. All job specific training will be provided by the district at no cost to the employee.

Lead Technology Technician – District Wide (2717)

Under the direction of the Technology Coordinator, the Lead Technician is responsible for providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd level technical support to building personnel and district-wide support in the use of technology; providing technical support in the use of a wide variety of hardware, applications and software within the building; setting up and installing computers, upgrades and applications; troubleshooting programs, printer or connectivity issues; ensure functioning of State testing (e.g. MCA, ACT, etc.) application/tests to ensure testsrun properly, to troubleshoot issues, and to ensure proper version(s) are installed and ready for students.
