Technology Support Assistant
Posting dates: 3/14/17 thru 3/20/17 or until filled Hours: Monday thru Friday 8.0 hours per day, 12 months Job Summary: Assist the Technology Equipment & Repair Supervisor in the daily operations of the department including equipment configuration and repair, inventory control, disposal/re-purposing equipment, and warranty processing. Essential job functions include the following: Processes equipment for sale, repurposing, recycling, or disposal. Salvages parts, removes software, images computers for sale. Arranges for transportation of equipment and/or provides transportation of equipment and technology materials within the District as needed. Assists with maintenance, repair, or upgrade of various technology equipment as instructed. Assembles, configures, images, or otherwise prepares new equipment for deployment. Updates the equipment inventory database as assigned. Assigns asset management tag for centrally purchased equipment and enters information into inventory control database. Assists with completion of warranty related processes. Processes paperwork for warranty claims, contacts vendors, and orders parts or equipment as instructed. Assists with other Tech Department processes as assigned. Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following: Using personal vehicle, pick up/deliver equipment.
