The Suburban East Conference of Minnesota (SEC) is composed of nine metropolitan-area high schools including Cretin-Durham Hall, East Ridge, Forest Lake, Mounds View, Park, Roseville, Stillwater, White Bear Lake, and Woodbury. The SEC conducts its activities under the auspices of, and in concert with, the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). In addition, the Conference sponsors other non-MSHSL fine arts activities as well. The Executive Secretary reports to the President of the Conference Executive Committee (Principals), the Secretary will also work very closely with the Activities Directors. The Executive Secretary shall coordinate and report the actions of the SEC Executive Committee and the Activities Directors. The Executive Secretary shall provide administrative assistance to each of these groups and facilitate communication among and between them.

Associate Principal in Charge of Activities

CHISAGO LAKES SCHOOLS, ISD #2144 TITLE:Associate Principal in Charge of Activities QUALIFICATIONS:1.Holds valid Minnesota teacher and K-12 administrative licenses. 2.Three years of high school teaching (required) and 2 years of secondary administrative experience required. 3.Previous head coach experience desirable. 4.Knowledge of the overall operation of an activities program. REPORTS TO:HS Principal SUPERVISES:Associate in charge of Activities. Assists principal in supervision of coaches and advisors as well as others involved in school extracurricular programming and co-curricular.. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide for overall leadership and coordination of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that provide for learning experiences. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities: 1.Responsible for administering all interscholastic policies and procedures working within the confines of the rules and bylaws of the Minnesota State High School League and the policies and procedures of ISD 2144 for both Chisago Lakes High School and Middle Schools. 2.Hire and evaluate coaches to make recommendations in terms of job expectancies and job assignments. 3.Responsible for scheduling all extra-curricular activities, contracting game officials, providing adequate supervision at events, and the management of team transportation, lodging and meals when needed. 4.Receive, evaluate, approve, and order supplies and equipment requested by coaches and advisors. 5.Cancel and/or postpone events due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. 6.Maintains a record of players, medical and insurance forms, records, parent consent forms, payments, etc. 7.Maintain a record for each activity, such as wins and losses, outstanding records, letter winners, etc. 8.Maintains a record of all athletic suspensions and terminations from teams to insure each athlete “Due Process.” 9.Determine and managing initial and on-going eligibility of all students. 10.Coordinates coaches’ requests to attend coaching clinics with the building principal. 11.Works with the High School Principal and Director of Business Services in developing and supporting the annual budget for the activities program including all fundraising of activity teams/groups. 12.Works with the Principal, advisors, and coaches involved to coordinate all athletic assemblies and pep rallies. 13.Coordinates the use of all district athletic facilities with the community education department. 14.Responsible for the safekeeping and deposit of gate receipts. 15.Provides for the cleaning, repairing, inventory, and storing of all athletic equipment. Arranges for recovery of unreturned equipment or compensation for such equipment. 16.Supervises the athletic trainer at practices and events and coordinates training room procedures. 17.Supervises the physical equipment and schedules facilities for all interscholastic athletic contests. 18.Schedules and organizes parent/student eligibility meetings. 19.Promotes publicity for all activities, such as sports brochures, press releases, and radio and television broadcasts. 20.Coordinate the repair and maintenance of stadiums, varsity athletic fields, track, baseball field, and gymnasiums with the Director of Building & Grounds. 21.Represents the school in all activity business at league, conference, and state meetings. 22.Coordinates indoor and outdoor concession stands. 23.Awards varsity letters to qualified athletes. 24.Review the activities handbook annually and present changes to building and district administration. 25.Continually evaluate the extracurricular program, always seeking ways of improving programming. Academics: 26.Assist Associate Principal with district and statewide testing. 27.Assist in the construction of the master schedule and the supervision of students during the school day. 28.Assist in staff supervision and evaluation by providing written and verbal feedback for professional growth and development. 29.Act on behalf of the Building and Associate Principals when they are not available for student discipline and intervention. 30.Maintain confidentiality as per mandated data privacy laws. 31.Other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education. EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of certified personnel.

District Instructional Coach (six openings)

Description: Shakopee Schools will have an opening for District Instructional Coach at the following schools; Eagle Creek, Red Oak, Jackson, Pearson, East and West. Positions will start effective 7/1/2017. Job Summary: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, the Instructional Coach provides direct coaching and professional development support for teachers and other specialists resulting in the continual growth and improvement of instructional/professional practices in the district. This position will be re-posted every three years; however, reassignment can occur on an annual basis. Current Instructional Coaches may re-apply as interested.

Permanent Building Substitute
