Responsible for all aspects of the school district’s technology information systems including planning, operations, security, purchasing, training and maintenance. Provide leadership for the technology department, as well as for the district in the areas of educational and informational technology. *Manages the school district’s information technology system including all aspects of the LAN, connectivity to the WAN, switches, servers, and user workstations. *Responsible for the operation and maintenance of secure user access to file and print servers. *Responsible for the operation and maintenance of an electronic backup system for essential district electronic data, including SQL database backups. *Manage network security systems, including firewall, antivirus, spyware, intrusion prevention systems, and content filtering. *Responsible for the operation and management of the district’s wireless networks and district owned mobile devices. *Responsible for tracking district software licensing and compliance. *Responsible for designing and monitoring compliance with district policies related to Information Technology systems. *Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a district-wide email delivery and archival system. *Responsible for the advanced level end-user hardware and software support, including computers, printers, projectors, and sound field systems. *Responsible for managing the district’s technology budget *Manages the functionality and integrity of the district’s student information system. *Manages the functionality and integrity of the district’s web servers and websites, including domain registration. *Responsible for the technical components of the electronic assessments, i.e. online testing. *Designs and oversees the installation and integrity of district low voltage wiring for data and voice. *Communicate IT related information to administration and staff. *Coordinate technology training for district employees. *Responsible for google administration platform. *Promote and carry out the vision and mission for the technology department as defined by the Superintendent and the Board of Education. *Keep the Superintendent of Schools informed as to the events, operations and other issues related to the district’s technology systems. *Perform other duties as assigned.
