Director of Finance and Human Resources

North Branch Area Public Schools is seeking a Director of Finance and Human Resources who will serve as the chief financial and human resources officer for the school district managing its budgetary and financial operations; overseeing personnel functions of the school district; and providing direct supervision to non-instructional departments including technology, food service, buildings and grounds, and transportation. North Branch Area Public Schools is an easy commute from the twin cities, 45 miles north on Interstate 35. The current school district budget is $35 million. Enrollment is approximately 3,000 students K-12. There is one elementary school; grades K-4, one middle school; grades 5-8, and one high school; grades 9-12. There is also an active Early Childhood program and All Day School Age Care Program. Duties: -Administer district budget -Oversee financial activities and programs of the district -Manage human resource functions of the district -Develop analyses and coordinate projects supporting administrative and School Board decision making -Supervise non-instructional departments -In the absence of the Superintendent, make immediate decisions regarding fiscal and legal decisions

Special Services Director

What is the opportunity? The Wayzata Public School District is a steadily growing school district which currently serves approximately 11,000 students. We are currently seeking a Special Services Director. As the Special Services Director you will have overall responsibilities for the administration of services to students within the programs of: Special Education, Title I, ELL and Health Services in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, statutes, rules, and regulations. This currently entails services provided at 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and one high school. Confident Decision Maker: This is a position in which you will be faced with making decisions that affect staff and students. While you will have the support of the Special Services Supervisors and building administrators, you will often be required to make critical decisions quickly and responsibly. Collaborator: In this role you must work collaboratively with others across the district. In order to be effective, you must partner with building administrators, parents, staff and other professionals. Approachable and Supportive Leader: This position requires a genuine leader that is present in the role. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys providing support and mentorship to supervisors and employees. Subject Matter Expert: We are looking for a candidate that knows Special Services inside and out. The ideal candidate will have experience working in with a variety of age groups and be an expert with due process. In addition to being the in-house expert for building and central office staff, you will be relied upon to provide expertise to the community.
