Edina Public Schools has a Special Education Teaching position available at Concord Elementary School beginning August 2017. Integrate input from teachers, parents, student performance on curriculum-based measurements, standardized tests, work samples, and observations to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide direct and indirect instruction in reading, writing, math, organizational strategies,social skills, and sensory and behavioral regulation, along with crisis intervention, for students at all elementary grade levels (K-5) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams–general education teachers, related service providers, administrators–to adapt/modify general education programs, target specific skills, offer instructional and material support Develop and maintain progress monitoring systems to track data for IEP goals/objectives Communicate with parents to discuss progress and identify educational priorities within the IEP process
