JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking a self-motivated individual to provide support to the faculty of New Dominion School. New Dominion School provides on-site education at Gerard Academy, for children in grades K-12 who are struggling with academic, emotional, and/or behavioral barriers. The school also provides an educational experience for students from surrounding communities who are not successful in their current school districts. Responsibilities will include providing educational assistance to students in the areas of instruction, preparation of classroom materials, records management, student supervision and mentorship while ensuring student safety. Candidates for this position should have strong organization and communication skills, have the ability to multi-task and be accountable to a teacher led approach in the classroom setting.

Reading Intervention Teacher (0.500 FTEs) – Roosevelt Elementary School

Reading Intervention Teacher (part-time 0.500 FTEs) Roosevelt Elementary School Roosevelt Elementary School has a position available for a part-time (0.50 FTEs) Reading Intervention Teacher for the 2016-17 school year. Teacher will be responsible for implementing intervention programs with students working on specific, targeted literacy skills. Important to this position will be the ongoing assessment of students who are receiving the additional literacy intervention as well as continuous collaboration with classroom teachers, special education staff, EL and the Literacy Coordinator. A valid Minnesota elementary teaching license is required; K-12 reading license preferred. Special Teacher- Intermittent

Two Substitute Teacher positions will be filled by consideration of all applicants to this posting. Each position will be on-call Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide appropriate and effective direct instruction in assigned subject areas so that residents receive educational programming appropriate to their needs and skill levels. -Perform all classroom administrative functions and support in a timely manner. -Maintain classroom record keeping. This position is located at a Minnesota Correctional Facility and will have direct contact with residents.
