The Minnesota Department of Corrections has an opening for a Special Teacher at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Stillwater. This position provides Adult Basic Education, English Language Learning, General Equivalency Diploma, post-secondary preparation, critical thinking skills and other life skills instruction in a well-managed and comprehensive instructional environment to support offender Personal Education Plans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide appropriate and effective classroom instruction in an individualized manner to offender students. -Maintain a well-managed, comprehensive instructional environment to support offender Personal Education Plans. -Perform all administrative functions in a timely manner for accountability purposes. -Manage special projects for the Education Unit. This position is located at a Minnesota Correctional Facility and will have direct offender contact.
