Responsibilities and tasks include:

Implement Preschool (3-4 year olds) and Pre-K (4-5 year olds) classes to include delivery and design of lessons that align with the curriculum and assessment practices of the Early Childhood & Family Education program.
Teaching practices align with a multiple tiered support system with the goal to develop school readiness skills.
Teach as a  member of a classroom team to possibly include the following: a parent educator, Educational Support Professional (ESP) and possibly Early Childhood Special Education staff,
Provide leadership and work direction for ESP.
Maintain consistent communication with parents and work with them in the development of their child.
Maintain attractive and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Attend and contribute to program staff meetings and training.
Implement Early Childhood Developmental Screening.

SUMMARY
Under general supervision, coordinates planning, development, implementation and monitoring of the district professional development plan in alignment with the District’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and workforce development priorites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates and facilitates the development of professional learning in collaboration with teachers, departments, programs and administrators in alignment with the District vision, mission, and goals.
Designs, implements and coordinates MPS evaluation system components; teacher observations, district-wide student surveys, student learning goals and value added reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines
