Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages birth-5 year old. These classes are attended by parents and their children with curriculum aligned to state standards. Applicants must have the ability and skills to relate to students and be sensitive to their needs,to provide a positive behavioral atmosphere for students, to work cooperatively with individuals and teams, the willingness to use technology as part of curriculum and excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents. Approximately 32 hours per week. Hours are approximate and based on enrollment. Must be available evenings.

Career Technical Education Director

The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking an Education Director for the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Faribault (MCF-FRB). In conjunction with the Education Director Rogers Building, this position provides effective leadership and management of educational programs and resources at MCF-FRB with the goal of meeting each offender’s educational needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *Provide supervisory oversight of all career technical programming at MCF-FRB. *Assist the Education Director-Rogers Building with overseeing literacy education programming at MCF-FRB. *Provide effective administrative leadership and administration of offender educational programs and services in the Aspen/Pine Building to ensure that the educational needs of offenders are met in accordance with DOC philosophy, policy, and procedure at MCF-FRB. *Monitor Education infrastructure and assist in managing budgets for educational programs and services at MCF-FRB. *Administer personnel practices, directives, and instructions in the management of human resources so that applicable labor agreements and plans are equitably administered and employees effectively perform assigned job duties to achieve the objectives of the MCF-FRB Operations unit. *Provide public relations services to ensure accurate and positive presentation of the Education Unit. This position has direct contact with offenders.

TriDistrict Career and College Readiness Coordinator

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The coordinator would become the primary lead planner and spokesperson for the initiative and carry out the following roles during year one of the partnership: 1. Lead the implementation of a strategic roadmap; 2. Conduct a needs assessment to determine predominant student career interests and the exploration of high wage, high demand careers in Dakota County and the metro region to determine what pathways to recommend; 3. Complete an analysis of current student achievement data, course completions, credits earned, and the financial savings to families when credits are earned in high school to serve as baseline data; 4. Engage in outreach to our postsecondary partners to develop common agreements around course offerings (including staff credentials, credits earned, financial agreements, etc.); 5. Engage in outreach to our current business, nonprofit, and industry partners to engage them in the initiative, as well as expand the number of partners; 6. Conduct ongoing research into emerging models and map trends in the area of career and college readiness; 7. Work closely with the counseling departments in each school district to develop a robust career exploration and guidance strategy to support the model; 8. Work closely with faculty to enlist their support and lead the innovation needed to create and design a working model; 9. Work closely with parents to develop a model for parent engagement; 10. Work with the finance directors from each district to project a working budget, to include revenues and expenditures that can be sustained well into the future. Job duties will be adjusted as the initiative progresses: Indicators of Success: Year One 1. Defined pathways with stackable credentials are developed. 2. Revenues to fund the project have been defined. 3. Business and postsecondary partners have been secured. 4. A marketing plan has been developed.
