Position Description: Candidates selected to fill the role ofMiddle School Vocal MusicTeacher at Central Middle School will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence. This will be achieved through the design and delivery of vocal musicinstruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community. In this role you will have repsonsiblities in both Vocal Music and Choir Qualifications: Must have a valid MN License in middle school vocal/ classroom music Ideal candidates should have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners. Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff. Must be proficient with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring. Ideal candidate will have experience with teaching music to 6th-8th grade students. Family Outreach Liaison

Provides support and connection for families of students identified for services through the ADSIS program. This position will work cooperatively with students and family members, school staff and community partners to remove barriers to student learning and strengthen the school/home connection. Some flexibility to meet with families at afternoon and evening family events. Fluent Spanish language skills preferred.
