American Indian Home-School Liaison
Onamia Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE American Indian Home-School Liaison for Onamia Elementary School. Responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to): *Collaborate with American Indian families, community leaders, students, teachers and administration to engage families in academics and extra-curricular activities. *Assist administration with the planning/facilitation of elementary Family Fun Nights; *Work with the building administration to improve student attendance; *Communicate with parents, community and local media regarding the school’s academics and activities; *Assist the administration and staff in implementation of a school-wide student management program/system; *Collaborate with administration to coordinate an elementary volunteer program and elementary PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association); and *Other duties as assigned. The Onamia School District has roughly 600 students grades K-12 and is located just one and a half hours north of Minneapolis along the south shore of beautiful Lake Mille Lacs.
