Under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education, the Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.

A position is available for a part-time (0.80 FTEs) K-5 Elementary Art Teacher at Mankato Area Public Schools beginning August 2024, for the 2024-25 school year.
Summary of Duties:
Mankato Area Public Schools seeks an inspiring elementary art teacher who is responsible for teaching art to students in grades K-5 and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of art instruction. Candidates should help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and creativity throughout art education. This position does require travel between Mankato area elementary school locations to provide general art instruction.
Qualifications Required:
MN licensure in Visual Arts is required.

Teacher is responsible for classroom instruction in Exploring IT, Power & Energy, and Manufacturing courses which integrate science, technology and math concepts with engineering.
Implements curriculum that emphasizes hands-on experiences and alignment with career pathways
Uses activities, project, and problem-based learning that have real world application
Supports the application of math, science and technology
Industrial Technology/STEM Teacher
Full time (1.0 FTE) Industrial Technology/STEM teaching position is available beginning the 2024-25 school year at the Forest Lake Area Middle School.
