Payroll Specialist

Rush City Schools is seeking a full time, 12-month, Payroll Specialist. This position provides support and assistance to the Business Manager in the administration of the school districts payroll functions and related activities. Details of the primary duties are processing of payroll, data entries, payroll liabilities, and reporting. This position will assist with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, long term disability, TRA/PERA and 403(b) plans. The Payroll Specialist will serve as a resource for staff while ensuring payroll actions and activities follow all applicable policies, state and federal laws and labor agreements. Other duties of a similar nature may also be assigned.

Candidates must have excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to fulfill Rush City Schools mission statement. Salary is based upon experience and qualifications. Applications accepted until the position is filled.

Custodian II – 2nd Shift

Rush City Schools is in search of an evening custodian.

This position is 12 month, 8 hour per day, 40 hour per week, 2nd shift custodian.  Primary duties include mopping, sweeping, carpet extracting, vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, windows, painting, sanitary fixtures, set up/take down of evening events, and other duties as defined in job description.

Compensation follows Teamsters Local #320 bargaining agreement and includes an hourly shift differential. This position is open until filled.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

  • Support the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans through modeling and coaching.
  • Oversees behavioral data collection including maintenance and/or entry of information into data collection system
  • Collects and monitors data to identify students who need additional support or effectiveness of intervention
  • Actively participates in meetings and training for classrooms the Registered Behavior Technician supports (e.g., team meetings, debrief meetings, training on student safety plans)
  • Completes student observations and student-specific data collection methods as needed under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Long Term Sub K-6 Counselor

Job summary: Assist students and driver in the transportation of students.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Provide a safe and positive experience for students on special education and general education buses.
Assist/accompany child in loading and unloading by operating wheelchair lift or holding hand/arm to support child.
Responsible for securing students in wheel chairs, assisting and securing students into booster seats, and securing students in safety vests.
Cooperates with the driver in maintaining good ridership control. Corrects disruptive behavior by singing, talking or providing distractions on the bus.
Works with drivers and students to promote positive behavior on special education and general education buses by utilizing our Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS), bus behavior matrix and bus bucks program.
Assist students in keeping clothes on, being sure articles are not left behind, etc. Be sure students are comfortable and special seat or equipment stays secured; e.g., wheelchair brake.
Cooperate and communicate with teachers, nurse and parents regarding student behavior/problems. Give/receive information pertaining to problems. Informs parents of students’ behavior.
Communicate with transportation office regarding problems with pick-up areas, excessive tardiness and other special problems encountered in providing services. Informs of severe deviation/problems, e.g., problem student, extreme delays in picking up students, no parent to greet the child, etc.
Complete Bus Conduct and Incident Communications on student’s transportation problems as they arise.
Attend monthly ESP meetings to learn and collaborate on bus ESP issues.
ESP’s will be required to work with two school district calendars. Some students attend District 287 and will require ESP’s to work on NON-OSSEO days.
Ability to log into district website to report hours worked weekly and review emails as needed.
Assist with answering phones and addressing transportation related questions.
Ability to perform data entry.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform tasks or work with children.
Ability to attend to physical needs of students.
Ability to work inside and outside school bus and in the elements.
Experience with persons with disabilities desired.

 

Salary: View Classification II (2) salary grid on page 4, section 2, and classification, page 5, section 2 on Educational Support Professional contract ; $19.43 to $24.66/hourly, Benefits (8) Paid Holiday and Sick Time, 403B Match, and Medical (based on hours)

Work schedule: 6 hours/day Part-Time; 5 days/week Split Shift (A.M. / P.M.)
