Facilities Technician Position Available

Caledonia Area Public Schools is seeking applicants for a facilities technician.  Shifts during the school year will be from 2:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. during the summer break.  The hiring range is $14.66 – $18.31 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience and night shift pay differential of $0.25 per hour shall be paid for any work shift starting after 2:30 p.m.  Must have a good personality and ability to work with others and independently; have a strong work ethic, works well with little supervision, ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift fifty pounds without assistance; and ability to work outdoors during winter and summer months.  Full-time position benefits include retirement, health, life and long-term disability, vacation, sick leave and personal leave.  If interested, submit your cover letter, employment application, resume and references to Caledonia School District, Attention:  Matt Stemper, 511 West Main Street, Caledonia, MN 55921.  Application deadline July 28, 2023.  Position open until filled.

Science Teacher

Elementary Teacher – 6th Grade – Science/Social Studies Focus

C.E. Jacobson Elementary is looking for a full-time 6th Grade Teacher with a focus in science and social studies for the 2023-24 school year. Our 5th and 6th grade students’ function in a middle-school-style model and this teacher will spend 85% of their time teaching a specific content area as well as general instructional support for all content areas.

The ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and the community will be imperative. Hours will be typical school days, aligned with the Teachers Master Contract.

Elementary Interventionist

CE Jacobson Elementary School is seeking a full time 1.0 FTE academic interventionist – certified elementary teacher (reading and math) for the 2023-24 school year. The purpose is to provide instruction to assist students who need additional academic support to succeed in the general education environment. This position is part of our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to provide evidence-based academic interventions. The ability to handle data accurately and efficiently is a must. This position will present outcomes monthly to all stakeholder groups and will provide academic interventions for students in grades K-6 who are identified as high risk.

 

FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE TEACHER

The teacher interprets student progress and communicates regularly with parents about student strengths, weaknesses, and/or programs. The teacher is a member of an interdisciplinary team and works collaboratively with colleagues to make decisions about team programming and supporting students through intervention and enrichment.

General Responsibilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for discipline and a desire to work with students of all levels and abilities.  A variety of elective courses will be taught centering on child development, cooking, sewing, and interior design.  An engaging instructor will have the discretion to tailor classes to inspire broader participation in the FACs courses as an elective department.
